June 20, 2016 – SavingTeens is thrilled to welcome Auldern Academy to our distinguished team of partner programs. Auldern recently joined SavingTeens, along with educational consultant Kim Davis, to provide support to a struggling family. “Auldern Academy and Ms. Davis have given this young woman an opportunity to heal in a safe and nurturing environment. Large scholarships and discounts, like those offered by Auldern and Davis Consulting, allow us to help more and more teens every year. Thank you for your commitment to young people.” stated Carrie Weatherhead, Executive Director of SavingTeens.
Referred to SavingTeens through the pro bono support of Kimberly Davis following a stay at a wilderness program, the young woman from North Carolina needed placement in a therapeutic boarding school. Ms. Davis turned to SavingTeens because the family could not afford the next step in therapeutic treatment.
Auldern Academy offered a substantial scholarship to this family. They were committed to helping out this young woman so that she could stay in her own state. Angie Fusco, Executive Director of Auldern Academy believes, “it’s important for us to support families in need from our local community. Auldern Academy is so proud to partner with this student and family to be a source of strength, support, and ultimately a lasting resource for them into the future.” With family contribution and a SavingTeens scholarship, the student is now able to continue her healing in a safe environment close to home.
